Need urgent clutch help on 800 series

Im at my property which is 2hrs from civilization. The 850/860 tractor I just bought aint working worth a poo. Its like I have next to no torque regardless of what gear Im in. I dont even have enough torque to push into a pile of loose gravel to take a scoop, regardless of engine RPM.

The peddle it set at furthest hole in the fork so that the pedal itself is only about 5 off the floorboard. I did notice that it seem like I get torque if I pull up on the clutch pedal...almost like when I let off the pedal it isnt engaging far enough.

Does this mean the clutch is shot?
Or do I need to pull the pin and adjust the fork so that the linkage becomes longer?

Help please. Im only here 1 more day and Ive got 2 dump trucks worth of gravel in my driveway.

How much free play/travel in the pedal? If
you can pull up on it and it works, it
needs adjusting. Should only be an inch or
a little over free travel.

Had the same problem with my 860. Hate to tell you, if you cant adjust it or oil is leaking out of bottom plate. Need to replace the clutch as I did. Not easy .

I would start spinning that turn
buckle.......one way if that don't work
the other way. Hopefully it will get the
job done one more day..... Just did a
clutch job on my 960 narrow front,
wasn't terrible. But you gotta know if
it's a 850 or 860, two,way different
clutches.. .

So I confirmed I have an 850 as thats whats stamped on the side.

So theres the arm that hangs off the side of the tractor that the clutch pedal rod gets pinned to. On that arm is a square head bolt that acts as a stopper against the cast housing. If I screw that in and will let that arm travel further towards the front of the tractor when the pedal is released. Whats the downside of screwing this in further? Seems like that would get me more clutch engagement.

Well, adjusting the bolt inwards on that arm was the ticket. I think i did 1-2 full turns and it made all the difference in the world!!
