Ford 201 Disk

I am looking to transport a Ford 201 disk, 10 foot wide. I have a 6x12 landscape trailer, 3000#. I can not find the front to back dimensions of the disk. Greatly appreciated any information.
 
I don't have the exact dimensions for you, but if it's a little longer than the width of the trailer you could use ratchet straps on both sides of the trailer to hold it stood up on its tail end, or partially tilted up... whatever it takes.
 
Mine is only 8' and it's definately wider
than it is long.
I doubt it's much over 6'.
Straighten the gangs out if need be.
I'm thinking that would get you down to
about 5'.

Is your tractor a three thousand or four? I got a 861 and wondering if it is going to be too much. Yeah I know a 10' is cat2.

It is a 3000.
My 201 was also a 10' but it was too much for my tractor. Too heavy and too much to pull even with the pie weights you see. I cut it down to 8'and it is now a good match.
I was not too impressed with it as a 10.
Even behind a bigger tractor it would not be ideal. It has a fairly light frame and with that many discs on it (32) you can't get much penetration. But adding weight on the frame would crack it I'm sure.
Cut down to 24 discs makes it cut better but it is still more of a finishing disc and not for heavy tillage.
I like it tho. Have used it for 8 or 10 years now for gardens and deer plots where you do it for sport and not to make a living. I don't mind making a few extra rounds.

I did this very thing with a 10' 201 disc
harrow,it hung off the side on one corner,
totally manageable with this 3500 lb Sure-
Trac trailer and F-150.

I saw afterwards, 6' x 12' trailer. This should work, my friends trailer was about the same size. I hauled it 35 miles, mostly
highway.
 
Jerry, that is interesting. Mine as shown, with 2 of the heavy earlier thousand series version front suitcase weights that came with it, one on each front gang, is a perfect match for my late 90s era 4630 Ford/NH tractor. My 850 with a Wagner loader handled an 8' wide M-F #25 disc very nicely. I can still imagine yours at full width could still be a handful, funny where the tipping point is with these, it doesn't take much to need a bigger tractor.
