Found a 671 for sale. Guy says the motor is stuck and rear end is locked up.Does not know if it is brakes or tranney. It is select o speed. Said he got the tractor in that condition.Says make an offer. Is it worth even looking at closer? Tin work is straight. Tires and rims are questionable.

Rear end is almost certainly not "locked up."

SOS transmission goes to park when engine is not running.

To move a sos the rear end has to be
disconnected from the tyranny. The sos
shifts to park when not running and will
not move. I would be more concerned if the
rear end wasn't locked up and the
disconnect lever was in place.

and a half to look at it."[/i:654c4848f0]

Unless it had some real nice tin or tires
that you needed I wouldn't travel 15
minutes to look at it.

Traction control disengage lever is located on the round cover. Moving lever will move slide coupler off shaft disconnecting rear from drivetrain allowing the rear to spin freely. If still
locked up than it would be brakes or bearings. Depending on the rest of the parts with a lock up engine, questionable trans my offer would be about scrap price. If the sum of your offer price
is less the the sum of the parts you can't really get hurt. I always go with my trailer and cash in hand. Make an offer. seller might say I've got other offers. But I'm here with trailer and
cash.
