545 lift capacity

I'm wondering how much Kenny's loader will
lift.
Did a bit of searching and found the info
below on Tractordata.com.
It says either 3500 or 4500 lbs depending
on whether it is a direct linkage loader or
a 4 bar linkage loader.
I'm not sure what the difference is.
Can someone tell from these photos?
Note that the link at the bottom on this
side is not connected. Is that what they
mean by 4 bar linkage? We never did use the
forks hard so we never got around to
modifying the fork mast so it would fit
properly.
I might? have a project coming up that I
need to lift about 3500 lbs a couple feet
high but would lift from the main lift arms
BEHIND the forks.
We do have about 1400? lbs on the 3 point
and could cobble some more weight on if we
needed.

We lift 2000 lb. on the front of the loader bucket on our 4500. A few times we have lifted about 3000 lb. at the front of the loader arms behind the bucket. Takes some ballast on the rear. This 4500 is old and Im sure the hydraulics are a little weak. You will be at the limit with 3500 lb.

Have a 445C with the 4 bar loader rated for 4000 lb at full lift height at the bucket pins. With 1200 lb. of iron wheel weights and 1300 lb. of fluid on the rear axle, and an 800 lb. Gannon box blade on the 3 point; it will lift 4000 lb. with no problem.

The location of the center of the load being lifted is important, if it is on the forks in front of the buckets pins, the capacity will be less, if behind the pins, the capacity will be more.

UD, I have a 55 gallon plastic barrel full of CaCl fluid that would make a LOT neater rear weight! I would be willing to trade even over for the segment weight set & even take care of delivery!!! Might even throw in a 3 point carrier!

It has 4 bar linkage.
Direct linkage is just like it sounds - the cylinders are directly attached to the bucket (or forks).
The two available loaders also have different cylinder sizes, with the 4 link having bigger diameter pistons on both the lift and bucket cylinders.

I'm thinking I will at least try it.
Got enough junk here to add another 1K rear weight if needed.
The hoses on the loader are all brand new so I'm not worried there.
I was looking at the the differences between a 445 and 545 and noticed that the front rims and hubs are heavier on the 545.
Note Ken's front rims are 8 on 8" lug pattern while the 445 still has the more common 6 on 6" (unless it's fwa)
I believe the 4500s were also 6 on 6.
I sandblasted his front rims when we rehabbed that tractor. They were Very heavy. Like 60 lbs or so. And I bought those front tires for him as part of a trade. They are 12 ply. He nearly cried when he had to put them stiff buggers on the rims.
It's gonna lift or stand itself on it's nose trying.
Thanks to all.

(quoted from post at 05:25:28 03/04/21) It says either 3500 or 4500 lbs depending

I have a 445A / 545A operators manual which confirms your findings. 545A (same as 545) with 4 Bar loader will lift 4500lbs, [b:7ca90f13af]with a 4000 lb counterweight[/b:7ca90f13af]. The 545A-s with the 3500 lb loader require a 3000lb counterweight. Sounds like you need at least 3000lbs hanging off the back of your 545 to make the lift.
