PTO shields

Was there ever a PTO shield option, other than the screw-in covers, for Ford tractors from 1953 -1964?

I've never seen a shield on a pre-'65 model, but I bet a mounting bracket and shield would from a 2/3000 or 26/3600 would fit. May interfere with the draw bar bracket though... I'm not sure.

The optional PTO extensions, both converting and non converting, have shields.

I never thought of that. We have a 3000 in the shed. I'll have to check. Thanks.

I was fortunate enough to find an OEM PTO shield for my 961. My son also has one on his 950. Pretty hard to come by, as many were removed from the tractor because they got in the way, and eventually got tossed. These are different from the pto extension type shields, which I have seen on a few hundred series tractors. Also different than the thousand series shields, which seem more readily available.
