ford 860 leaking control vavle on lift

My 860 lift is strong but will leak down and go back up with bush hog in position control(Maybe 3 or 4 inches). I have overhauled lift cover including with all new o-rings and seals. With a heavy disk I raised it up and shut off engine.(Had oil filler at top and inspection plate removed). The only place I see a leak is on control valve at turn buckle. The lift piston does not leak. I know manual calls for new bushing and control valve of which I believe are no longer available. Any tricks. I use it all the time. Do I just live with it?

I thought I posted this yesterday but could not find it today.

Im in the middle of this same problem.

Mine was/is leaking out of the plate on the front of the piston housing. Hard
to see. I stuffed my phone in the pto hole while running to find the leak.

Did you replace the O ring on the floating valve in the piston housing?
Do not use a standard o ring on this valve. Go to CNH and get 1 from them,
It is a critical fit.

There are 3 more valves in the system.

Pump Relief valve in bottom or reservoir. About $100.00 aftermarket.

Safety Valve screwed into the housing under the aux hydraulics plate. About
$24.00 after market.

Check valve screwed into the front of the top plate. At least $350. from CNH.
Not all of the parts to this valve are available.

There is an excellent article on here from around 2010. It was written by either
a gentleman with the name of either Pete or Zane.

Im putting mine back together today.

Thank you for your reply. My tractor had been setting up for a long while when I bought it and lift did not work. Control valve and unloading valve stuck. Managed to get control valve piston loose. I took out with homemade tool the unloading valve and replaced O-Rings with one Ford New Holland ordered for me. They are Ford parts. Replaced all other O_rings from kit. I took check valve ball out . Ball and seat looked OK. Did not remove check valve seat(People said on this site best not to.) I can see Oil leaking out of front of control valve piston. I can not see back 0f the piston valve as you said. My cell phone probe is not good enough. Safety valve under acc. plate has been replaced. I have not touched one on bottom of tractor. Could you direct me to that article you were referring to.
