I really don't care what color you paint your tractor, BUT, the change over from red to orange-red came between the 960 and 961. Or, for that matter, the 860 and the 861.
This came about with a telephone call from Henry Ford II recommending the change to make the tractor more visible.

The paint named orange spitfire sounds a little loud for a NAA or 960. All 8N's, NAA's and all 100 series had the same colors on them. The orangish red commenced with the 1058 pr0duction of the 101 series.

Gas pump, I believe that you mean 10-'58 or October 1958 and what is commonly referred to as the XX1 series.
