Sheer luck with the 1841 grill

When I got this tractor it was missing the grill insert and just had
a wire screen in it. I bought the red letters and added them to it.
Then forum member WarBaby said he had the right grill and I ran
over there and picked it up. Unfortunately, the new red letters did
not line up with the holes correctly, so the O and R sat crooked.
Then just last week I saw a Craigslist ad from another local guy
who actually had a full set of the correct letters for sale including
the speed nuts to hold them on.
I was lucky to find either of these items, let alone both and to find
them both locally was just icing on the cake!

Thanks guys, I still have a bit left to do on it. One rear tire needs
to be dismounted so I can repair the rim around the valve stem.
The pie weights, even though they're painted and ready to go on,
are riding around in the back of my truck for winter weight until
I get that rim repaired.
I still need to paint the loader arms and bucket, and replace one
tilt cylinder hose that is leaking a little bit.
I also picked up a set of pallet forks for the loader. They were modified
to fit a JD quick attach so I have to modify them back to fit my arms.
Once those things are done it will get a lot more use around here.
Then I might consider selling my Jubilee loader tractor. Or not. LOL

If you didn't have to fix a rear rim, I'd say put the weights on the tractor. I live farther north than you and I don't put any weight in my truck for the winter. Or is your truck a two wheel drive?

Truck is a 2018 F250 4x4 with brand new Cooper AT3 XLT tires.
I swear my F150 had better traction than this truck with either set
of tires. Maybe because they're load range E and hard as a rock.
Even with the pie weights in the bed, I had to put it in 4x4 today
to haul my 8x12 single axle trailer out of it's parking spot.
I don't drive in 4x4.
I get myself into trouble with 2x4 and use 4x4 to get out of it! :)

New Coopers. Both sets still here, on different rims. Truck only has 28K miles on it.

Must be the stiff 3/4 ton suspension combined with the hard tires. My F150 does pretty good, but the shortbox may keep more weight over the back tires. Nice color by the way, for some reason it agrees with me.

Royse I recently acquired a 1958 1801 1841 and am restoring it like you are with yours, mine is a diesel unit and I appreciated your pictures and progress! Looking forward to making mine look just as good!
