It isn't a done deal yet, but my cousin is real serious about a prior 4000 rowcrop to put under his 602 picker. One issue is that it has a wide front axle. Anyone have a narrow front they'd like to sell? The closer to n/w WI, the better.

I assume you mean a 4 cyl 4000? I recently sold my spare narrow front so I can't help you that way. I can say that shipping for a 2 wheel narrow front without hubs was about $47 from nebraska to Kansas.

I don't know common it is around the country but here a Prior 2000/4000 does mean the 4 cyl models. Some folks refer to all the 55-64 tractors as Priors. Maybe it is a MN, WI term?

Yes, a 4 cylinder 4000.
I think most of Ford's narrow fronts are the same, except the ones for the 8/9000 and 86/9600's.

Not so. Early row crops do not have a 4 bolt unit that unbolts like the later one do. I'm talking about 4 cylinder tractors on both.

Put a ad in the classified section. I have bought a couple that way. Last one was $250 if I remember correctly.

That's why I said most. The early ones had a one-piece pedestal. I'm not sure when they changed to the two-piece, so it could also use a single front wheel or a wide front. '56?'57?

Could you email me the specifics on it? Or call or text my cousin at (seven 1 five) seven 8 one - nine 8 nine 8.
