got in a early 6600 tractor that filled the crankcase with coolant, i figure a pin hole in the cyl, is the most likely cause, seem to leak coolant pretty fast so i wasnt sure it will be a pin hole, any chance of a head gasket failure to cause it

Couple of ways coolant to get into the oil.
Pin hole in the cylinder, will slow down when a piston is covering it.
Head gasket, usually into the top side of the piston, slow leak into oil pan.
Any of the cylinder core plugs under the valve cover, had it happen, pretty fast leak and easy to fix.
Cracked head or block, least likely, seen two different blocks crack from the oil gallery into coolant. Puts oil into the radiator too.

I concur with Tracy Brown.
Dropping the pan and charging the coolant will quickly

I would suggest dropping the oil pan and pressurizing the cooling system.
