Narrow Front 4000

I would put an ad on the classifieds here for one.
Lots of folks read them.
Also, put an ad on craigslist. Don't title it Wanted tho. It'll get flagged off. Title it something like "Narrow front pedistal for Ford tractor" then when you open it you see it is a wanted ad.
I found my single wheel pedistal that way.

I paid $200 for the pedistal including the tire. If you are looking for one I might still have the # of a guy in ID that has a couple of them.
It's a 4 bolt direct swap to change one out with a dual NF pedistal.

Kirk,
Yes.
Same part # from 1957? To 1975.
Mine was red when I bought it.
I can see no advantage to the single front.
Just bought it for the cool factor.

Not that I ran one a lot but I've found in rough ground you have a tendency to get feedback through the steering wheel when one tire hits a bump or a clod in plowed ground. At least if you don't have power steering. The single front wheel doesn't seem to do that. Otherwise I agree with you as to the cool factor. I have a 971 with a non factory single front and noticed the difference after the fact.

Thanks, kinda figured they were the same. Have the 951 with wide front, friend gave me the NF for it and the single would complete the set. Plus the Kool look going down the track or at a show.
