Ford 8600 injection pump

Hi. Wanted to know which oil is the best to use for the injection pump on a ford 8600. It has some diesel fuel mixed in the oil and I'd like to get it changed for the old girl. Thanks in advance

Okay. Oil was changed in the tractor before I bought it and I didn't find out what oil was used. I've heard 15 w40 was good for it but wanted to make sure.

I should have added this. Go ahead and drain the pump now and add new oil. Remove the plug on the bottom to drain. I also remove the fill plug on top while draining. After it drains reinstall the bottom plug. Next remove the plug on the side and add oil until it starts dripping out of that hole. Reinstall that plug and the fill plug and you are finished. Be careful with those three plugs. They are easy to cross thread and if you try to over tighten you will pull the threads out. Easy does it. Service the pump each time you service the engine.

Thank you so much! I'll give her a go tomorrow and see how I come out. Just want to keep the old girl running in tip top shape- love this tractor! I'll take it easy on the threads. Again, thank you!
