I have this 5200 that I bought to use a 7' snow-blower. I used it for the first time today and the 3 pt goes all the way up or all the way down. It doesn't seem to have no control for the height.
The draft- control lever does go back and forth very hard. The 3 pt works the same no matter where the lever is. I just hope that I don't have to pull the top-cover. The tractor does have a cab on it.

I have pulled the cover by drilling two holes through a piece of 2 inch galv pipe about 12 feet long and bolting it to the top cover (via the unused seat bolt holes), and then putting the other end in a frontend loader bucket and chaining it.. there is just enough room to lift the cover up and get it out from under the hinsion cab... So it might work on yours...

thoughts.. if the draft lever is moving and its got lots of pressure, sounds like its working, but have someone verify that it in fact "flipping" at the end of the linkage down on the side of the rearend. a 5200 does have longer linkage to switch to position-draft mode and you need to make sure it is fully switching back to position mode or it will do just what yours is doing. Assuming also your top link sensor spring is not loose or over driving the draft sensor... so check to make sure the spring is tight and snug as well. otherwise sounds like you may have to pull the cover to see whats up. And yes, there is a hidden bolt on the top cover you will probably miss.
