My 801 Ford usually runs great but after letting it set for over a month or so without using it, It smoked terribly on start up and cleared up after a minute or so. I could not see where the smoke came from because it was so great but it appeared to come from the area around the hydraulic pump manifold where it connects to the engine. It sat for another month or so and did the same thing.
Any ideas as to the source and cause of the smoking?
Also my gas tank shut off valve is leaking and it takes me a whole day of more to replace it. I don't think there is any connection to the smoking problem. That gas tank valve is a terrible design!
