4000 Correct Wheel Color

I've been working on repairing this 4400,
I know it should be yellow from factory
but I am going to repaint it blue.

Are the wheels white or light grey or off
white on a normal blue farm tractor? What
about fenders?

I also have single 100 lb weights for the
rear wheels, what is the correct color
for those? Thanks!

The wheels and fenders were grey gloss which is a very light grey that looks almost white. Wheel weights were painted the same color as the wheels.

A early model would have Blue chassis with yellow tin, fenders and wheels
Later models were all yellow
Going with all ag blue the fenders and wheels need to be Ford light gray which looks like a off white.

This is my 69 4500 in correct blue but later industrial yellow.

Interesting, that makes sense to me now. I have a second 4400 loader/backhoe tractor, and it is painted just like that. Blue belly and the rest is yellow. When I got this one I was surprised that it was all yellow, however I believe this 4400 is a lot newer tractor.

Very nice tractor by the way. I need to build a set of forks for mine.... Thanks!

Thanks for the info, I thought they were a light grey, however our local place didn't have that color that I saw. They had the Ford blue though. I'll have to look around and see what I can find. Thanks!

When we sere getting paint from Ford in the 70s and 80s it was labeled as grey gloss. The paint we get now is from Tisco and is labeled as light grey.
