Stops running

I had a similar issue with my 600 some years ago. I suspected a bad coil. When I went to disconnect the coil, the wire broke in my hands. It
seems that the wire had frayed/corroded inside the insulation at (or near) the connector. A new wire solved the problem. Anything electrical
is possible when the wiring gets to be sixty years old. You might connect a jumper wire from the battery to the coil while the engine is
running. If it cures the problem, you will have narrowed the electrical problem to some point before the coil. If it doesn't solve the
problem, you are likely to have a bad coil (or some other problem).

If you really want help share what "fine" means to you.

Fine: Constantly flowing stream, full tubing flow.
low thru the line needs to be OK, BUT, flow all the way thru carb (bowl drain) for a couple of minutes is what matters. Couple of minutes, because you want to ensure flow beyond what would be just the bowl volume. As to short run time, please quantify......1 minute, less? hour???

After checking the flow again, I found that there was something in the carb that must have been blocking flow. I blew out all passages and reassembled it. I then ran the tractor for 20 minutes without a glitch. problem solved for now. Thanks to you.
