Ford 5000 clutch

Before i split this tractor i was gonna see if anyone had any ideas.
I put a new clutch in the tractor it only has 30hrs on it. While mowing ditch banks yesterday I started losing pedal. So now i only have just enough to change the gears and all my adjustment is out. And ideas on whats going on before i split it. Thanks.

If the adjustment changed that rapidly, something is haywire inside. Could be a number of things...slipping yoke on cross
shaft, fingers bending on pressure plate, disc coming apart. Regardless of what it is, it needs to be split.

It will be a week or two but when i split it i will post what I find. Thanks

I did a conversion on a 1970 Pontiac Firebird a long time ago to convert from an automatic transmission to a 3 speed manual. I got all of the parts off
a car in a junk yard and made the conversion. It worked great. After about a year I sold the car. The new owner had the car for about 2 months and
called me to tell me that the clutch had failed and asked me to fix it at my cost. Okay, so I did.

I pulled the transmission and found that the lever that the throw-out bearing mounted in had cracked and bent. So, depressing the clutch pedal didn't
fully disengage the clutch from the flywheel. Maybe that's a common failure but it's the only one I've ever seen like that. Put a different throw-out
bearing lever in it and sent it back to the new owner.

Back in the day, I had four Trans Ams, three of which were four speeds.

After a time the 79 TA 6.6 (Pontiac engine rather than Oldsmobile), WS6 developed a slight squeek when operating the clutch pedal. It took nearly a year to determine that the ball pivot on the throw out fork had been insufficiently lubed at the factory (or not at all) and squeeked upon operation. Tough to get to from below without removing the transmission but I learned how to add a bit of lube each time the squeek returned.

So i got it split today and the fingers on the pressure plate where almost ground off from the release bearing. I dont know why it did that because the clutch was working fine. Any suggestions?

If i can figure how to post a picture i will.

Your throw out bearing locked up, did you replace it when you replaced the clutch, if you did contact whoever you got the clutch from, they MAY help you out with a replacement bearing and plate.
