Ford 4600

I broke 1 bolt off on my loader support bracket that bolts to tractor ( upper bolt). I removed the bolt but noticed the housing on the one next to it had a hairline crack but threads still good. I was
thinking on putting studs in place of the bolts. Do yall think this will hold?

Hard to tell without a pic, however I can say that those castings are pretty beefy, so your plan just might work. I would get a tap and make sure the hole is as clean as you can make it. A stud of the proper length would ensure that you are grabbing as much of the hole as possible.

Thanks Bern . Yes I can screw stud in about 2 inches. I think I will try it. Just wanted other opinions.
