I have a semi-local 7610 4wd, FEL with the older style cab which would mean maybe early to mid 80's model. It isn't a II. Tractor is clean. Price is way too high. Before I waste any effort I had a question about the shifter. It appears to be up on the column by the steering wheel. This would be a loader tractor and I can't find much info on that column shift setup. There are some posts from overseas that say that shifter is junk and I have read at least one other place that there were different units and one was fine while the other.... stay away from it.
Anyone have any insight and if so does that shifter work ok for loader work.? I know it might not be the best overall because it is syncro but my other Fords are bullet proof and before I change colors I thought I might ask. It's a clean tractor if they will get reasonable about the price I might pay a little more for it.
