Selecto Speed Foot Throttle

Any issues with installing a foot throttle on a diesel 1966 and later, say 4000 Ford Selecto Speed? Mine never had one.

There was one available for the 8N. They called to the "foot feed" Repops are still sold and should adapt to diesel.

Foot throttles are marketed by Red Rock Mfg, Pella Iowa, for Ford tractors fitting from 1939 to 1964, gas only. Am unaware of any after market foot feeds sold for the blue tractors, 1965 and up, but seems as though Ford had some originally.

Here's some pictures from restoring a foot throttle on a 4500 which I believe should be the same as a 4000. This is a gas unit tho and I'm not sure how the diesel might differ.
