Thanks Warbaby!

I appreciate you taking the time to help me out!

I ran over to warbaby's house this morning and we did some
tractor parts trading. He's about two hours away from me.
It was the first time we'd met. He is a great guy with some cool
projects in progress! Love that Worthington!

He had the correct grill insert for my 1841.
I was happy to find one. Especially in this good of shape.
I'll get it cleaned up and painted, then put it on.

Youre welcome!

Always nice to talk to a fellow "gearhead", especially one with an interest in Ford tractors.

Come on back when you decide you want that axle!

I'd love to have that Elenco, I'm still trying to figure out how to
make it work with my "updated" power steering system.
Then I'd have to find that drive gear for the side of the trans.
The driveshaft wouldn't be much of an issue.

Nice score!
You might find that the letters from a
1965-68 Ford are the same as those.
Would allow you to expand your search if
you need them.
I have a set here, not for sale but I could
measure them up if you wish.

You probably know this but an Elenco would
seriously reduce the lifting capacity of
the loader on that industrial.
Those 18xx front axles are monstrously
heavy duty.

Those letters are the same as they used on Ford pickup’s 73-76. Probablythe same as used on mid series trucks of the same era.

I did notice the difference in the size of the axles Jerry.
Part of wanting it is the 4x4 advantage.
Part of it is just the cool factor, of course.

Here are a couple of pictures of my 1841 front axle with the "updated"
power steering. No cable steering unit on my 1841 anymore.
And yeah, that front bolster really needs a cherry picker/loader
/forklift to move it around. It is a beast.

I thought the x000 letters would fit too, but they're not quite right.
I put them in the grill today and the posts are offset differently.
The "F" and "D" are Ok, but the "O" and "R" sit crooked.
I guess it's a Rock and Roll tractor now? LOL
Warbaby had all the originals but the "F" so I may clean those up,
paint the red back in and reuse them when I get a few minutes.

We traded buckets too, since I didn't really need the massive one
that I had. The second, smaller one works better for me.
It's a foot narrower, 8 inches shorter in height and 9 inches shallower.

Wow, that grille looks far better now than the last time I saw it!

Weird about the letters not quite lining up. It seems odd Ford would go to the extra expense of having different mounting stud patterns on otherwise identical
letters. I guess after Ol' Henry died the whole company went to hell.

You could always drill new mounting holes in that freshly painted grille.....

Hello Jerry , That is 100% incorrect , the Elenco kit has no limit to the lifting ability of Heavy Duty Industrials . The HD’s will lift 5000lbs. In the bucket either way . So don’t go spreading fake rumors unless you know what you are talking about . Thanks Tony

Hello Royse , The power steering has nothing to do
with the Elenco kit , if it works on the original axle it
will work on the Elenco axle nothing mounts on
either axle . Thanks Tony

And Merry Christmas to you too.
You may be correct but I would need to have more info before I could take your word for it.

Mine doesn't have the original axle and cable steering Tony.
You can see the cylinder here attached to the steering knuckle.
The hoses connect to the steering column valve under the dash.
One steering arm on the left side connects to the other knuckle.
