641 sheet metal

Hi guys I'm in the process of acquiring a
641 power Master tractor that had been in a
barn fire. Gonna need lots if TLC for sure!
First step to me would be to source all of
my parts, which brings me to the sheet
metal. Who would have it? Every place I've
checked is out of stock on the new stuff
and NOS is impossible to find. Any
suggestions?

Without more detail, I think I would want to get that unit for almost nothing, get it home and make sure the engine and drive train is salvageable, and then worry about finding tin for it.

Years ago, there was a local man that would run around town on a tractor of like vintage, apparently doing a few jobs here and there, I don't remember his tractor ever having the hood on it. The tank and radiator fully visible and it worked.

Agree with Brad. Figure out what it'll take to get it to be a useful, reliable tractor before making it pretty. These tractors can be expensive to rebuild to their former glory. Used is expensive. New is more expensive. God forbid you need parts from CNH. I'm in the process of restoring my 841 right now. I'll bet I'll have more than 6K into it before I'm done. Maybe more.

Dennis Carpenter has aftermarket sheet metal. Big $$$

As others have said, make sure it's salvageable first. BTDT
If it's a 641, it would be a workmaster, not a powermaster.
So make sure you're confident on the model too.
Off the cuff, gas tank and grills were different.

My Jubilee I called Krispy.

Dennis Carpenter sells new repop hoods, about $1200.
I guess thats good if thats what you want but I barely paid that for my running 641 with good sheetmetal. :?
