I have a ford 7000 utility the steering wheel had at least a half a turn before it would turn the wheels.. then I took the column apart and put it back together and now it just free spins with the tractor running or not. I just took it apart for the 2nd time and saw the balls in the shaft were not all aligned.. some were at bottom of chamber and some were in the tracks of the shaft.. could that be it? Contacted my local new holland/ford dealer and they said it had to be misaligned. Any ideas? And how much power steering fluid will it take to fill the whole system up? Thanks a lot.
