Ford 1710 engine block drain valve - threads?

DID anyone answer what thread size it actually is? I did the same thing, they are made of some sort of pot metal, seemed like a good idea for cleaning but nooo! thanks mike

Hi. The threads are 1/4-19 BSP - "British Standard Pipe" (Taper). Cost about $20 for the tap. Got a new drain valve from Messicks, cost was also about $20.
