Ford 4630 Charging Question

This My 4630 alternator is new and good battery but not charging. I am aware of the problematic battery temp sensor circuit so I have a jumper wire bypassing that battery tray sensor. I have found voltage at alternator at both the + wire to the big stud and the battery temp sensor wire. When I unplug this temp sensor wire and plug it back in my alternator charges - I see voltage go up for a second or two to about 14v and I hear the engine change tone like the alternator is resisting. But withing a second ot 2 voltage drops back to 12.6v (same as battery) and I get a no charge condition. What can I do to make the alt continue to charge?
 
I don't think that you can simply bypass the battery temperature sensor. It varies its resistance with the temperature and there is a specific resistance range where the tractor thinks the temperature is OK and will allow it to charge, although I don't know exactly what that resistance range is. Here's a link to a thread from a few years ago where they talk about a resistors in the 180 to 220 ohm range probably being acceptable, but no one ever replied back after making such a test:
