Hey hey, so this got pulled apart a couple months back and some obviously damaged parts were replaced, pto support sleeve, various o-rings, and the dual power pump on the side of the housing. It all went back together, fired it up and we ended up having the exact same issue. So we split the case again and dug a bit deeper, this time the pto clutch actuator was disassembled, and we found a cracked spring inside of the housing, but nothing else has really appeared. Would this cracked spring explain the symptom? All clutch material was measured and checked out ok. Definitely not wanting to pull it apart a third time, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you run a pressure check before and after disassembly and reassembly. You mentioned Dual Power, does it work properly? Do you have a service manual and do you understand how the system works?

No pressure check done, my colleague got a little too excited to take it back apart. Dual power does work. We have the factory service manuals here, though the flow chart for pto actuation looks a little different in the book.

If you don't take the time to do a pressure test, then you will have a difficult time telling where the actual root of the problem lies. It could very well reside in the Dual Power.

EnglishFord..I do have a really nice big Ford Tractor Repair manual for that tractor if you're interested. Send me a PM, my email is open
