Remote Hydraulics Only Work When 3Pt Is All The Way Up

I have a Ford 5200 that I want to use a snow-blower behind it that has a hydraulic orbit motor on the shut.
The problem is that the 3pt has to be up for the remote to work. I have an owners manual for the tractor but I can't find anything about what I am doing wrong.
I really don't want to be lifting the blower to turn the shut when blowing the snow. This is a new tractor for me and never used the hydraulics before. Any suggestions?

Normally the open center hydraulics don't provide proper pressure if the 3 pt is all the way up as it knocks the pressure release valve off it's seat when
fully up. Instruction manuals and my experience dictates that the pt has to be somewhere other than fully up go get the pressure to divert to the
remote valve. Seems something is plumbed incorrectly on your tractor.....not the resident expert.

Yes, it has a single-spool with detent. It looks to me that it came from the factory with it.
I did find the diverter valve on it. When I pull the valve out the remote valve works just fine but then no 3 pt. When diverter valve is pushed in the 3 pt works and remote valve is really slow till you pick up the 3 pt control, then the remote speeds up but then the 3 pt is already all the way up.

Please post some pictures of the diverter valve and the remote valve. A normal factory remote valve gets installed directly on the top cover, and a factory diverter valve installs in the same location. It can't have both.

This tractor has a Hinker cab on it so you can not see anything.
On the first picture, you can see the diverter valve knob. The second picture, you see the bottom ( rust colored) of the remote valve.

Try again!

I've found that the selector valve is built into the hydraulic cover on that tractor. I still can't find much on the operation of the system with a remote valve. It doesn't seem like you should have to keep switching it back and forth.

KCTractors,
Is this tractor equipped with Load Monitor?
How many remote ports are there?
There is a supplement to the owners manual for the row crop tractors that may help to explain what is going on here.

I will try to explain, but it has been a long time since I have been around that system.

If it is equipped with load monitor, then when you pull out the ASC knob, the system is trying to sync the 3 point and the special remote cylinder.
It takes everything just right for it to work. Special remote Cylinder, extra set of remote ports, cyl in all the way, 3 PH down. Then you pull out the ASC Knob and raise the 3 PH up.
The cylinder will extend and the 3 PH will then raise. The 2 will now be locked in tandem.

If you don't have that special cylinder, the system will not work and the Hydraulic pump will whine and go into bypass. NOT GOOD.

I found the problem with the slow remote. I had the flow speed turned in instead of all the way out.
I can now use the remote and the 3 pt at the same time. Thanks to keith williams, mhb@ufe, sean in PA and Texasmark1 for the help!
