I have a worn out 600 that blows oil and leaks it. Recently I noticed it had a exhaust gasket leak. Now it has started backfiring into the air cleaner when the engine is loaded good. It seems as if it is blowing fire from the exhaust into the intake port and the motor drops RPM and actually stalls unless I de-clutch and idle it down. It sounds as if the cylinders are fighting each other. When it does that it blows a lot of smoke out the oil fill breather. As soon as it returns to normal it quits smoking there and starts running good again. Any takes on this appreciated.
