It would be a good idea, but I would not consider any of the models you listed to be prime candidates for cavitation issues. I
would say that the 6000 would concern me the most, because this problem is primarily confined to diesel engines.

Ford Tractor's biggest problem childs were any Basildon engine produced in the 1980s. I'm convinced that it had something to
do with the quality of the iron that they used during that decade.
 

I believe it was due to the increase in injection pressures with the [b:9d61a5514e]new series pumps by bosh[/b:9d61a5514e]. This change created the more powerful explosion, therefor more power.. but.... creating a more violent and stronger soundwave.

As bosh created better technology, the industry adopted it just as today in the changes... common rail, pico injectors, multi pulsed injectors, changes from 1700-1900 lbs, to 2300lbs, to 2700lbs to 3300lbs of injection pressures... etc.etc.. multi pulsed technology has been used to lessen the effect to a degree. And now we have all the emission junk thrown in as well.
