I have overhauled a 841 with a 172 gas engine. When I start it it dies, have to have it full throttle to fire. What could be problem?
Thanks
Ken

I know your governor is hooked into your throttle system. Did you get that all back in there right? It sounds like your not getting fuel unless you pull it into full throttle.

I'll check governor, getting fuel. Had it running for about 45 sec then it will die and I have it at full throttle, but it's just like it's at very low idle won't speed up.
Thanks

Even if you have governor issues, that won't cause it to stall after such a short timr. Double check your timing. Then if that's OK then you'vegot fuelrstriction issues somewhere, either in the carb orin the bottom of the tank or between them.

I figured out the problem, it was the new condenser was bad. I put old condenser back in fired right up.
Thanks
Ken
