Changed my leaking "O"ring for the [b:3015d8f260]THIRD[/b:3015d8f260] time in 3 months. Start to finish is just a hair over 30 mins.. Not sure why, but both "O"rings I replaced the first two times completed disintegrated within the fuel shut off on my 961. The one on the brass screw in shaft. Not the tank to valve one. Just wondering what type of material "O"rings you guys use. Mine may be just plain rubber out of my generic stock kit from the shop. I did find a couple spare ones from the valve on my 861 I rebuilt 6 or 7 years ago and just put one of those in tonight. My 861 one never did leak again. Maybe they're from a different material? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks! Tom

HF has them in the multiple size packet, green in color, used in AC systems pretty much exclusively:

FKM O-Rings (Fluorocarbon) 75 Durometer Green
It has a good resistance to ozone, high temperatures, oxygen, mineral oil, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatics and many organic solvents and chemicals.

If your O-ring kit is old, the rings may be made of material not compatible with alcohol.
