Ford 6610 starter

I added one to a 5000 a couple of weeks ago, to see if it would start faster. Nope, the pump still had to turn over a bit to start squirting. But the starter worked well. Only bad is now it sounds like a 60s/70s dodge cranking over... kind of a wa, wa, wa, wa, sound but high pitched. It works, but I have no scientific way of saying it cranks faster, other than the angry noise it makes.

I put one on my 4000 5-6 years ago, it did help some but wasn't the cold weather cure all I'd hoped for, bad part was after a couple of years the bendix went bad and I couldn't get a replacement.
Look at the Bosch style starter Ford put on the later 7740 series, they have more cranking power than the older Lucas starters, I have a couple of tractors with that starter now and am happy with how the perform.
I have that 3 cylinder reduction starter on the shelf needing a bendix if anyone knows were to get one.
