8600 remote float position

My 8600 when trying to use the float position on the disc mower the auxiliary is straining the hydraulics when pushed into the float position like it's dead heading. I've tried screwing the knob in and out for single or dual action but it makes no difference. Does the same thing on both sets of remotes. Can someone tell me if something is stuck or what is going wrong?

I'm thinking you really don't have the valve in float. The engine should not be lugging when it's truly in float, regardless of what you do or don't have plugged into the couplers. Maybe you need a linkage adjustment?

Also, I don't think those valves have a provision for single acting cylinders. The only knob I'm aware of is for flow control.

Thanks I assumed the knob worked like on the smaller tractors for single or double acting. I did get it adjusted where the float was working but noticed it went down real slow. I'll try adjusting the knob to see if it changes the flow next time I have a mower on it. Thanks again.
