Lift arm hangar pin

Been soaking it with Kroil for about a week and no luck. This pin won't budge for me to get the arm off the tractor. Any tricks of the trade to get it out? Not sure if heating up the cast hangar is an option. Just worried it might crack after getting it hot and a few whacks with an 8# hammer. Was also thinking about taking the entire hangar and arm off to try to press it out on a press but that might be worse than heating it. I also tried turning it with a punch in the key hole just to move it but ended up only bending the punch! Any ideas or tricks? Or just keep soaking and whacking it? Thanks!

Grab a friend and try turning the pin with the punch with as much twisting force as you dare while hitting the arm as hard as you can at the
same time. If that doesn't break it loose, heat will be required. If you don't have an acetylene torch, try and find a friend who does and
fire up the rosebud tip. Heating up that hanger isn't going to hurt it any.

Are you sayiny that you can turn it but not drive it out?

If so, I would assume that the ball in the front of the lift arm is also turning???

If so, the pin is rusted into the ball rather than the cast bracket.

It will be tough (impossible? to get much heat to the ball but that is what will be needed.

I had the same situation on my Oliver. Loose pin but rusted into the ball on the lower arm at the front end and up against the main case. I ended up cutting the pin on both sides of the ball with a hack saw and still had to torch the pin out of the ball. Held the pin with vice grips on the very end and cut the inside first to I could still grip in for the outside cut. NOT fun. Can't get a picture to post today.

No Dean. Just the opposite. The ball slides freely on the pin. It's stuck in the hangar. Won't move either way. Left or right.

Just did this on a 4630. Dean and Bern are right on, I heated it with a rosebud while twisting with a 18" cresent wrench with a 3' cheater bar.MHG

Well, got it out. Pin moves free as a breeze now after cleaning it up. Took about 1/4 tank of acetenyl, and an 8 lb hammer with a lot of patience and persistence. Just waiting for an original set of lift arms to be delivered from out of Idaho and get them and the other sway bar mounted and this 961 will be ready a complete prep and paint in spring. All the mechanicals are working now as designed and it has a full set of pie weights and a front weight box complete on it. Just going to move some snow with it a bit this winter to see how it all works out. Thanks for all the ideas and help!
