Dexta ram arm remove

I want to remove the ram lift arm on my dexta tractor. It looks like I should be able to remove one lift arm and then bump the
lift arm cross shaft out but so far the shaft won't budge. I haven't tried heating the ram arm yet but I wanted to see if any
of you guys had some wisdom on this project.
Thanks

The rock shaft where ram arm goes is larger and a bushing has to come out ahead of it. The bushing do stick in cover bore. Sometimes they come out the other way eiaser.

The cross shaft only comes out in one direction, there is a thrust washer on the Position Control Cam side which the larger splined portion of the cross shaft will not pass through. The shaft has to come out of the side opposite the control lever. They do get rusted on and take some getting off.

You can see the washer between the cam and the lift housing. (No this lift did not come off a working Dexta, it has been in my bits pile for some years). :0)

Hey Majorman, would you want to sell that ram lift arm in the picture since it's in you pieces and parts pile. The reason I'm taking the arm off is because the cam on mine is badly worn and I was going to weld it up and grind it down. I couldn't find another one on line.
Thanks

The shipping for that from England would be the price of the tractor! :0) Wear on the cam should not be a problem as it will be taken up when you adjust, wear on the cam follower pin is more important. Just lightly smooth the surface of the cam.
