Low inventory?

I was at my NH dealer today, and commented on the lack of machinery on the lot. Parts counter guy said parts inventory is the same way... most inventory sold in season isn't being replaced. He's concerned about how they'll be able to serve their customers next year.

Local NH/Kubota dealership Kubota inventory is low due to virus related supply issues.

NH inventory has been very ow for years because they sell little.

I expect that dealership will drop NH in the foreseeable future.

It's a shame that Case New Holland let this end of the business go to h-e- double hockey sticks.. I worked for a few excavators that ran the old 4500 backhoes. Those old guys could run the 4 lever backhoes so fast that the bucket was a blur.. The " Nickel" A's and B's were as good too. But I think the 4500 with good rubber could out mud some of the 4 wheel drives.. I stopped in my local New Holland dealer for a throttle friction disk.. 20 bucks.. I was floored. Steiner has them for 4 bucks.. But , I needed it that day.. They were pricing themselves way out in left field years ago . I remember one case in '91, this Sewer guy crunched the ABS panel above the wiper motor on a new 555-C cab unit.. It was ordered in.. I nearly soiled my shorts when he told me how much FNH wanted for that 16 oz. piece of ABS plastic.....600.00 Really ?? What a deal !!

I had to pick up an air filter today at John Deere dealer ship and their equipment inventory was low, I guess people really want a new tractor. They have one there that I like, but it has too many electronics on it. The tractor is one of the 75 HP's. At the New Holland dealer, a month ago, it's like the had no New, New Holland tractors, only new Kubota tractors. It's like there selling like hot cakes or there not sell enough of them and they can't sell them anymore and have to send them back.

Went to the local Deere dealer to get a grease gun.. 1 tractor on lot.. it was used so I looked and the tag on it said "hold for finance." so i asked about it and got told it was still there due to it being a repo and that finance was dragging there feet on it. they had many inquires about it..

A couple days later I stopped at the local CNH to get baler shear bolts.. 1 tractor on sales lot.. used 5288.. I asked.. its a consignment.. Ordered air filters for IH 5000 windrower... was told it would be at least 2 weeks. Farming isn't Fun right now..
