2 volts is 12 volts, whatever the source.

If the tractor has been converted to 12 volts, then yes. If it's still got the original 6 volt system then you would need a 12 volt source to power the light but the inductive clamp on the 851's spark plug wire should still fire the light once it has 12 volts to power it.
