2n has oil in the coolant

Looking for advice, I have a ‘47 2n that just developed oil in
the coolant. I suspect that I have a blown head gasket but I
just want to make sure before going forward. Also there isn’t
any coolant in the oil after checking it over. Has anyone else
had this problem?

Very common. Been discussed and cussed here and many other places. Head gasket fixes? combustion gasses migrate thru gasket, doesnt really hurt anything. seen ran for years.

How much oil? Enough that it is now low on oil?
Are you sure it's not just combustion by product?
You said "just developed", so I take it you've had it a while?

It’s not low on oil, it is showing a film in the coolant. I haven’t
had it long and then I sold it and I am going off of what the
new owner is telling me. Going off of what I know when there
is any kind of oil in the coolant it’s a bad thing and usually
point at a blown head gasket or oil cooler which this doesn’t
have. Also if it is getting combustion gasses into the coolant to
me that also points to a head or head gasket.

y 8N has been fine with that ever present oil film on the coolant for over 20 years. No problem here.
