Ford 3600 wiring and safety switch help

Sorry if this is long trying to give details.

Well folks when it rains it pours, I could really uses some help and thoughts. The clutch is stuck on this 3600 and Im getting ready to get it split.

I've had to move the tractor around some so I just put it in gear then bump into low and I can move it around.

Well did that today then needed to move it again for last time and she's dead not turning over like the safety switch is killing ignition.

Now it did seem to be acting up now and then and I'd move the wires around or bump the key a few times and it would turn over.

I actually planed on putting new one in with the clutch.

But here is where I'm at.

I crossed together the 2 saftey wires that go back up the harness and no luck same thing.

So I got the volt meter out. Battery is good 13vs.

With the switch off i put the positive on the coil and negative on the starter and i have 12.5v With the safety switch crossed together when I turn the key voltage drops to 0v.

If I disconnect the safety wires, voltages stays at 12.5v at the coil/starter but it does not engage.

I put the ohm meter on the 2 wires going into the transmission (actual switch) and i get a closed circuit.

If I ohm between the 2 safety wires going back up the harness its and open circuit.

My next step as to pull the front cover off where I can get better view of the switch and trace out safety switch wires but can anyone help explain how it should work where I should see voltage and resistance?

Maybe ways to test my starter and coil?

Thank you
