Ford 6000 Information Help

611065D has too many characters in it. The 6110 at the beginning is a 1962-1964 6000 row crop chassis tractor. The D at the end says it has a diesel engine. The "65" in between should only be a single digit. A 5 would mean that it has the S-O-S transmission with the single speed (540 rpm) PTO and a 6 would mean the S-O-S and dual speed (540 and 1000 rpm) PTO.

SN: 41438 - This is a 1964 serial number.

I'm pretty sure that all 6000 tractors had dual speed PTO. About the only factory installed option that I'm aware of would have been ground
speed PTO.

My guess is the number stamped is 61106-5-D. The -5 would indicate factory wide front end. Where the 61106 would indicated 6000-Ag Chassis, Row Crop, Select-O-Speed with dual speed pto.

Good catch, now that you point it out I agree.
