I have a 1984 Ford 5610 that i bought recently and am trying to hook up the a/c. the compressor only has 1 wire and underneath the air cleaner the switch has 2 wires. I am missing a piece of harness but not sure where it connects to the main harness. I bought a 3 book complete service manual set on ebay with complete wire diagrams but it don't show it. I have a 1987 ford 5610 with a/c but it is all completely different set up. anyone have any info on this?

the "switch" at the side of the radiator is a overtemp protective switch,,,, if we are talking about the same thing... The lead from the cab connects to one side of the switch, and the other side of the switch connects to the compressor clutch. If the Freon tube gets too hot, the switch opens and cuts off power to the compressor. thus saving the universe from destruction....

Hope I am understanding you correctly.
