I'm trying to source a ROPS for a prospective 1963 Ford 4000. So far It's been difficult to locate anything that seems purposed for this tractor as a retrofit. I gather the shape of the rear axle is important in when considering mounting , there are locale welding resources I might commission to tackle the project but wanted to check here for possible suggestions.

Beyond this I am also looking for recommendations about seats that can be secured on this style tractor with a strong seatbelt option.

Thanks

After a farmer was killed in a rollover, our county offered cost-share to anyone wanting ROPS. I took the offer, but had to hire a welder to custom make it.

Thanks for your reply Petertay.

I like the idea of having a welder fabricate something for the tractor. The structure seems straight forward, Wonder about what kind bracket or bolting would be best for attaching to the tractor.

If you have any images that show how you resolved this I would be very interested.

The legs of the ROPS have a plate on the bottom that sit on the axle. Long bolts pass through the fender bracket, then the plate, then the tabs cast
into the axle. — Peter
