Ford 515 Sickle Bar attaching Bracket

Does anyone know how to either fabricate the attaching bracket or where I might be able to buy it at. I emailed them on here but got no response. And it appears it attaches to the lower link and then the breakaway attached to it. I do have the full manual for it just those pictures aren't the clearest. I bought it from an auction and at the time I didn't realize I needed to grab the attaching bracket too.

I don't have a picture or dimensions of the original but you can make one to clamp on the 3 point arm with a couple pieces of plate, four bolts to clamp the plates with, and a big bolt (to fit the breakaway ball) welded to one of the plates. I made tabs with the anchor bolt welded into them and welded the tabs to the tractors I used the 515 on. Nut is drilled for a cotter pin so the hand tight nut stays on.

Thanks, I was able to fabricate. However when I hooked it up to the tractor I noticed that the sickle bar was missing a couple of teeth right by where it attaches to the wobble box and the piece that attaches
to the saw blade to make the teeth move. I don't see that particular part listed in the manual and I cant seem to find what it is called or anything on the internet. Hoping someone on here can help out?

Not real sure what you are asking about the bracket. My break away bar attaches to a mount welded to the frame with a sorta U joint fitting that lets it move both ways.

You will probably end up having to buy a replacement sickle bar to get the ball that attaches to the wobble box. I had a link to replacement sickle bar parts but it got lost. Google should help. Just make sure it's for the 515, as far as I know it is the only one with that type of connection to the bar.

Lots of info on here about the 515 and several pictures. Use google to search the site for Ford 515 sickle.

Should have added the tractor end of the break away bar mounts to the same bracket as the stabilizer bars. Which on a Ford mounts under the fender and uses the fender bolts.

I found the knife head and the bolt that goes through a bearing assembly on the wobble box and screws into the knife head. There was a dealer in PA that was suppose to have two of the bearing assemblies but they don't. According to my ford/nh dealer they were the only one in the country that has them. I dont have the specs on the bearing to just check with a bearing dealer. I have attached the parts manual that has the part circled and listed as number 21 the part # is 242077. I can get the rest of the parts just not the bearing and obviously very important piece. Anyone have the specs on it or know where I can get one?

I bought that bearing for my 515, it's a standard bearing not hard to find with the right part number. Problem is I can't remember the part number. I have it written down someplace but may take me a day or two to find it.

Pretty sure I found the bearing.
FEDERAL MOGUL BCA 88506

It's a standard size but the center race is extended for the bolt.

OMG thank you so much. I have spent hours trying to track this down. I thought that one dealer was going to have it and went ahead and ordered the knife head and bolt. Then ran into the bearing issue. Appears to be one on ebay. not sure if the 88506BR is the same bearing as it appears that is what the auto parts stores have in stock.
