Drag Link Adjusting Sleeve Won't Turn

I have a 4030 Ford industrial (non-adjustable front axel). Some where in its life the toe-in was set to 4" instead of the 1/4" to 1/2". An easy fix it should be unil you find that the adjusting sleeve won't turn. Even with a 6 foot pipe on the pipe wrench. Clamps are completely removed, exposed treads cleaned and sprayed with PB Blaster. I have not used heat because I don't have welding torch. Would a propane torch work? Damaging the sleeve is not an option because they cannot be found (8" long 3/4"X16 one end 1"X16 other end). Any suggestions?

I don't think a propane torch will generate enough heat. You need a rosebud on an oxy-acetylene torch to get it cherry red.

"Buck" a large hammer against one side of the tube, tap on the other side with a smaller hammer, hit all over, back and forth, round and round, keeping the big hammer 180? from where you are hitting at all times, keep parting area wet with "loosen juice", hopefully some will work into the thread as you tap.

Eventually it will come loose.

Had the same problem on my 2110. Propane torch, time, penetrant, & the 2 hammer trick finally worked. Took a long time w/the small torch, but did the job.
