Got a new landpride 12' pull type rotary cutter. And I'm powering it with my ford 4610 4x4. Seems like I have had to do a ton a work for a "farm ready" tractor. Most recent problem is that I raised my wings up on my new bush hog to un pin it from the travel position. Lowered it down and now the wings will not raise back up again. I have read the manual and done the proper bleeding procedures. The dealership operated the mower before i took it home. I know it was full of fluid and so is my tractor. It will raise the rear lift wheels and cut height without any problems. I did replace the hydraulic piston seal and backup ring recently. Along with the lift cover orings and gasket. I now notice my 3 point arms are still lowering on its own after shutting the tractor down. That probably dosent have anything to do with my hydraulic pressure? I'm not sure and need some advice. Its been pretty frustrating here lately. Clearly there must have been more to my lift problems than my piston seal. I also just changed the hydraulic filters both of them. Thanks again guys.

Brake lights are mounted in the rear fenders of your car but they are not driven by the fenders.

He did not say "flywheel driven". He said "mounted to the flywheel".

He probably means the pump that mounts on the left side near the flywheel that is driven by the gear on the cam shaft. I can see it in the last couple of pictures in his first post with the white spin-on filter.

It does have the gear driven auxiliary pump mounted to the flywheel. Wouldn't that give me more hydraulic pressure? Check valve stuck open? I just done some basic reading on it. Is there two check valves? Pretty sure my cutter begins to squat when shutting the engine down as well. Im sorry guys I'm new to this.

I have the same cutter we replumbed it for a second line to lift the wings.I have the same problem with the wings going up on my wife's tractor it about the same hp as yours. It take a lot of pressure to lift the wings when we put in on a larger one with a little bigger pump it will lift it with no problem.

I know it seems counter productive, but try setting your remote flow control clear to turtle! I had similar problem with my JD 825 roll over plows on my 5610! When the flow control was set to rabbit, the plows wouldn't roll, but on turtle they worked fine.

Correct! No, it dosent sound like its straining. Just stops. Really sucks too getting through some of my gates. Gotta be really careful.

So you pulled in the field, operated the remote to raise the wings enough to remove the transport locks, then lowered the wings and cutter to mowing height, now you can raise the cutter but the wings won't come up.

Does it sound like the hydraulics are straining.

What position do you the have the speed control set at, rabbit, turtle or mid way between, if on turtle move it to midway and see what it does.

Nice cutter!

It's hard to tell from the photos but I can only see one hydraulic hose, mine has one to fit the deck and another to raise the wings.

How is yours plumbed?
