801 Ford sector gear timing

I looked through some old posts on this but the only pic I saw was for an 8n type box. the manual says to put the left sector block cog at the top. the 8n pic I saw in the post had the large blocking cog at the top and the small one at the bottom. My smaller block cog was on top and the large one on the bottom when I removed them and this tractor was in use for a long time, no problems. The manual says to put the blocking cog at the top but doesn't specify small or large. I think the small one is the blocking tooth. I haven't installed the box yet. What say you?

The smaller of the two cogs goes towards the top. This will put the side of the gear with the most teeth towards the steering shaft.

Match up the shaft and two gears center tooth to center grove. If you get it one tooth off you will soon know because when you try to install box on tractor your toe in will be way off.

Well I have it right then. My main concern was that when I first installed the steering shaft if I turned it too much it would turn out of the seal but things change when you bolt the control valve down. I checked the arm position with another tractor I have and this box seems to steer the arms further toward the back on both sides when turned lock to lock. How many turns should it be lock to lock? I got around 3 and 1/2 turns. I haven't adjusted the sector gears yet.
