3pt arms bowed

Should there be any bow or curve to 3pt arms? One is for sure bowed and when put under heavy load rolls out instead of perpendicular. Is this fixable? What would happen if I flipped it over so it bowed in?

Generally the arms that are bowed are aftermarket arms that are constructed from mild steel
, never seen the originals bow which are forged steel .( anything is possible but I've
never seen it )

for that reason forged arms that have worn out ball ends I prefer to weld new ends on.

at one time mild steel replacements were all that were available but I (think) there now is
forged replacements available, would have to research it further to know for sure .

Heres my arms. The ends have been replaced before I can tell that.

Supposed to be straight. That happens when the check chains are too short and it's raised all the way up with an implement in place. Or the attaching points are too wide.

The weld marks are where the tips were added to the rod during the mfgrng. process. My 1963 2000D OEMS have such. My OEMs are either cast or
forged and do not bend or bow. I bought some aftermarket within the past year in the 32" range, same width and height and some of them appear to be
mild steel and others cast. The mild steel do bend. Also had one snap in half. Not what they used to be. Course for the price I paid, one can only expect
poor performance....that's the problem with internet buying. Can't touch the item till you get it home and may not be what you thought it was.

Well I got them bent straight. I m pretty sure they are some thing other than mild steel. I had to press WAY past straight to get them straight. They have a ton of spring to them.
