Bit long. I posted earlier under Ford 3400. Come to realize I have a
3400 with a later 3910 steering column assembly. Figured I would
start a new thread since it?s not a 3400 gear. I have a leak at the shim
and gasket (20/21) and would like to address it by replacing them. It
appears I need to remove the sump assembly where my power
steering lines go to do this. I will also replace seal (9) while I?m at it.
I?ve got it tore down to where it is in my picture. My issue is there
appears to be a bushing or something on the steering shaft. Need
help on how to remove it. Don?t want to damage anything. It is shown
between (7) and the washer (18) and sits right above the sump
assembly (8). I don?t think I can remove the Sump Assembly (8)
without the piece above the washer 18 being removed. Any help and
guidance to get the sump assembly removed would be appreciated.
Thought I would also add my numbers on the tractor for identification.
