960 hydraulic issues

I added this so I could run the haybine.
Now my 3 point hitch will not come up
unless I pull the hydraulic lever back.
Is that right? If not what is going on. 3
point was fine before this.

Your question is unclear to me. Does the hitch raise when you pull back the hydraulic lever for the three point hitch (normal) ? Or does it only raise if you pull back the remote valve lever? If that is the situation when you have time I would pull that valve and make sure all the o rings are still in good shape and in the proper spot. I am assuming there are o rings on the valve as both of my remote valves have them. Does changing the draft control lever make a difference? And are you sure that is the right remote valve for your 960? Good luck. I am sure you will get it figured out.

In my experience with remote hydraulics on an 850, the 3 point would not work unless the remote was in neutral. It was a factory Ford valve.

The valve takes preference over the three point. When the valve in neutral, the three point should work. When the valve is used, like for your haybine, the three point will not work. If the little tee handle is screwed out a half a turn,, or so and the valve handle forward the three point will not work. The valve handle should be in neutral at all times for the three point to work.

I'll try! The seat suspension is along the left side of the hydraulic remote valve and the pictures are not clear enough of that area. There probably is a plug in a 1/4 hole half way down the left side and equal distance between the hose fittings. .
Which is probably way the valve doesn't work. There should be a small T handle affair in there. Will the remote handle come back to neutral when pushed forward, with the engine running? I am not savvy enough to post pictures. Hopefully some one else can.

The remote handle does return to neutral after the haybine raises or lowers. Once it's all the way up or down it moves back to neutral. My wife asked this morning if it could be low on fluid causing the issue? I of course haven't checked since we added the remote.......

If the haybine raises up and down, lack of oil is not the problem. You are saying that when the remote valve is in neutral the three point doesn't work? If that's the case, that remote valve has a problem and it's been 50 years since I have been in one. There are several check valves and a whole bunch of o rings in that valve, that I do remember. Would, still like to know where the tee handle is. I never though that old stile seat spring would even fit with that valve in place because of the tee handle. How about a picture from the left side of the valve, preferably with the suspension off!

The tee handle folks are referring to is the small rod coming out of the remote directly under the seat spring, seen in the last 2 pictures. This rod has a hole at the end. There should be a small roll pin in the hole, which forms the "tee handle" The roll pin appears to be missing.

You can find the valve at paragraph 331 of the I&T manual - the 'T handle' is identified as the 'float valve'

"The 311877 remote control valve can be used with either a single or double acting remote cylinder. When using a single acting cylinder, the rear port of the control valve is plugged with a special hex-head plug and sealing washer. A screw type valve is provided in the valve body to allow "float" action of a remote cylinder: closing the screw type valve will prevent oil from returning to the sump from remote cylinder until control valve is actuated. Implements controlled by remote cylinder cannot be lowered unless the engine is running, or unless the front port is pressurized and the screw type valve is opened."

The full function of these remote control valves are not fully clear to me, and I have this valve on two of my tractors. There's an outlet at the lower front of the valve whose function I do not know. It is plugged on mine.
