I've got a !(57 or '58 ford 901 (it's a 900, I just learned where the model number would be found but I haven't had a chance to
look) and it looses trans hydraulic fluid very quickly and it appears to leak a lot from this plate under the tractor. There is
even what looks like the end of a cotter pin sticking out of it. I can't find what it would be called as I have a copy of the
operators manual but no repair manuals. Can you 'all tell me what this square plate is called so I can order a gasket and maybe a
new plate. Also would there be any reason to have a cotter pin there?
